Obituary of Mary Patricia Curtin

Mary Patricia Curtin, age 75 of Derby (formerly of Milford), beloved wife of the late James H. Curtin, died January 18, 2022 at Milford Hospital.  Born in Bridgeport on May 18, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Rebecca Sullivan.  Mrs. Curtin was a longtime resident of Milford before moving to Derby just 3 months ago.  She worked as a secretary for the former Avco-Lycoming of Stratford for over 20 years, she then was employed by Toyota Financial Services as a credit investigator for 19 years, until her retirement in 2015.  In their early years, she and her husband enjoyed attending drum corps events and competitions.  Mrs. Curtin loved music, her favorite being doowop of the 50’s & 60’s.  She will be long remembered for her determined work ethic, her devotion to her family and her special love for her grandchildren.  Mrs. Curtin is survived by her sons, Jason (Silvia) Curtin of Derby and Sean (Lisa) Curtin of Milford; cherished grandchildren, Caitlin Curtin of Derby and Michael and Tyler Curtin of Milford.  Private burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Monroe.  The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia, is in care of arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.wakeleememorial.com.
