Obituary of Dorothy Fletcher

Dorothy Rolleri Fletcher of Shelton, CT, passed away peacefully on 10/19/2022.  She was 93.  Dorothy was born 12/1/1929 in Bridgeport, CT to Jenny and Joe Rolleri. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Robert Fletcher, and by her sister, Pauline Steinhardt of Florida. She is survived by two sisters, Marie Ziegra of South Carolina and Arlene Phillips of Ohio.  Robert and Dorothy had four children: Gary Fletcher and his wife, Nancy, of Colorado; Paul Fletcher and his wife, Christina, of Sweden; Lori Fletcher and her husband, Edward Corley, of New Hampshire; and Lisa Vaccaro and her husband, Peter, of Connecticut; eight grandchildren, Ian, Jesse, Megan, Kyle, Ryan, Christopher, Robin, and Rebecca; and 5 beautiful great granddaughters, Olivia, Ella, Lyla, Emiline, and Lily, and several nieces and nephews.  Dorothy’s life with her husband, Bob, was filled with music.  They loved to dance and travel with their friends.  She was a talented cook and prepared many delicious holiday meals at gatherings at their home in Shelton, a focal point for her family.   Dorothy was cherished by so many and had a generous and fun-loving spirit.  Her zest for life never ceased.  She will be dearly missed. Family and friends may call on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia, CT 06401.  Interment will follow in the Huntington Lawn Cemetery, Lane Street, Shelton, CT 06484.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, P.O.
