Obituary of Anthony Jacabacci
Anthony “Tony” Jacabacci, age 62 of Ansonia, beloved husband of Darlene M. Iannucci Jacabacci, died peacefully on October 21, 2022 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on June 6, 1960, he was the son of the late Pellegrino and Ida Buonassisi Jacabacci. Tony was raised in Bridgeport, was a graduate of Central High School, and has resided in Ansonia for 30 years where he and Darlene raised their children. He worked as a sales representative in the paint industry for 34 years, first employed with Paint Products of Bridgeport, then Sherwin William where he was a District Sales Manager. In 2010, he became Director of New England Sales with Benjamin Moore. He was presented with the Customer Sales Award in 2017 and the New England Top Sales Award in 2018. Tony continued to work at Benjamin Moore, until the time of his illness.
Tony was a devoted member of the New Life Church of Trumbull and was a lifelong fan of the NY Yankees. He was honored to throw the first pitch of a Boston Red Sox vs. NY Yankees game at Fenway Park. He considered it as one of the greatest highlights of his life! Tony loved to cook, especially his Italian specialties and fabulous breakfasts. He earned the nickname of “Mr. Breakfast”. Above all, Tony’s passion was his family. He enjoyed spending quality family time at his home in Florida and will be long remembered for his love of family and friends, his unique sense of humor, inspirational faith and positive attitude.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, he is survived by his devoted children, Ashley Rose Jacabacci of Ansonia and Anthony (fiancé, Jessica Young) Jacabacci, Jr. of Ansonia; grandchildren, Gianna “GiGi” Jacabacci, Sylas Williams, Lorenzo Jacabacci and Madelina Jacabacci, all of Ansonia; brothers, William (Lee) Jacabacci of Milford, Robert (Gail) Jacabacci of Shelton, Michael (Donna Anderson) Jacabacci of Bridgeport; and sisters, Bridget (Kenneth) Oppedisano of Arizona and Linda (James) Maloney of Florida.
Funeral services, MEETING DIRECTLY AT CHURCH, will take place on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 10:00 AM in the New Life Church, 28 Hedgehog Road, Trumbull. Entombment will follow in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call Tuesday, October 25, 2022, 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.
