Obituary of Patricia Ann Tolmie

Patricia Ann Tolmie, age 76, beloved wife of Harold D. Tolmie, died peacefully surrounded by her family on January 8, 2023, at the Lord Chamberlain Healthcare Center, Stratford.  Born in Bridgeport on November 12, 1946, she was the daughter of Hazel Witkowski Pasqua of Bridgeport and the late John Pasqua.  Mrs. Tolmie was a homemaker and enjoyed decorating her family’s home, especially at Christmas.  She was an avid collector of antiques and vintage items, including depression glass, cookie jars and tchotchkes of all kinds.  She was a voracious reader and also loved to write short stories. Mrs. Tolmie was a skilled crocheter and created countless ornate afghans, which have now become family heirlooms.  Above all things, Mrs. Tolmie will be remembered for her special love of her family, especially for her precious grandchildren.  In addition to her husband of 56 years, she is survived by her devoted daughter, Cynthia Okech and her husband Daniel of Derby; sisters, Janice Tyler and her husband Gerald of Oxford and Pamela Franco of Hamden; a brother, John F. Pasqua, Jr. and his wife, Diane of NV; as well as cherished grandchildren, Malkia Okech of Philadelphia, Kilian Okech and Imani Okech, both of Derby.  She was predeceased by a brother, Steven Pasqua.  Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 6:30 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.  Private interment will take place in the CT State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:30 PM, prior to the service.  Online condolences may be made at www.wakeleememorial.com.
