Dear Jim, Liz, Patrick, Robert and Brian; May you feel the love and prayers that surround you. As we sit here trying to express our sorrow for your loss, we realize there is nothing we can say to lessen your loss; but we pray that you can find some comfort in the knowledge that you now have an Angel watching over all of you.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your son, brother and uncle. I worked with Mark at MFS/Hartford for almost 10 years. Mark was extremely knowledgeable and always willing to explain and assist so became my go-to person whenever I needed help. But even more importantly, he was a genuinely nice person. We shared many wonderful conversations and many laughs together. Mark will always be remebered by those who had the privlege of knowing him. May God hold him in the palm of this hand.

So many things to say to you Mark. You were so fun to work with. We all loved getting your emails or calls, and seeing what all you had to say about a particular topic, although not always related to the boring work stuff... I will miss that. I send my thoughts and prayers to your family and friends, including all of your MFS/Sun Life/The Hartford buddies that we still work with today. Such a loss...

Chief will be sorely missed. A true gentleman, good friend, and John Hancock “fraternity brother of mine and countless others. I have fond memories spending time with Chief at the old Ground Round, the Pour House, and as a golfing partner at the Boiv and Brian McNeil golf tournaments. I hope the Keefe family finds comfort in all the positive messages Mark’s friends have said and will say about his life.

I met Mark another life time ago when I first met his sister Sarah. She always looked after her youngest brother taking him places and speaking about him so lovingly. Through all the years I watched him grow into an amazing man. After reading all these nice words about Mark it makes everyone sad to know he was taken away so early in his life. But his memories and love will stay with his family and friends and the stories shared will keep us smiling when we think of him.

Mark and I worked together at John Hancock during the 1990s and I consider myself fortunate to have spent many hours with him in both work and social settings. I remember Mark as a solid contributor to any task at hand and someone whose great wit was best revealed when enjoying life with his friends. While Mark has left us far too soon, I hope it provides his family comfort knowing that he made a great and positive impression on many people’s life, including my own, leaving a smile on my face whenever I think about him.

To Mark's family; I am heartbroken to learn Mark has left us. He was a wonderful friend and an incredible neighbor. Always there to share a laugh or lend support, he will be missed more than I can express. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Vicky ( Waltham neighbor)

To the entire Keefe family I am very sorry for your loss. Mark and I started work together at John Hancock over 20 years ago. Mark was a very good friend and coworker and I am glad to have meet his acquaintance and I feel my life is richer for it. He was very professional at work but he had a very good sense of humor too. Mark was extremely intelligent and all of us went to him for help on some matter or another. He was the subject matter expert on everything or soon became one. I remember talking to him about the holidays once and Mark told me how many Christmas gift he had to buy for his brothers and sisters and all his nephews but I know he did not view this as a chore but rather something he was happy to so. Mark was a good man and I will miss him.

To Mark's Family: I am so sorry for your loss. I use to work with Mark at MFS & The Hartford. Although I have not seen him in almost 4 years I have the best memories of him at work.He was SO nice & helpful to me. he spent alot of time at my desk dealing with my computers various issues. I had a ton of them and he was always so pleasant. Since he was at my desk so much I got to know him quite a bit as he was very easy to be around and we had some good conversations. It is really sad to think that he is gone. He was a bright light and wish you all peace as you think of all the great times you had with him. God Bless.

Mark was a wonderful co-worker and a great friend. He had a wealth of knowledge that I would often tap into. Mark was a thoughtful man who would often think of others both in work and out. He would never think of hitting the bar without an invitation to anyone he thought might be interested. Had a few deep conversations with him over a Guinness or two and always left feeling This Is A Good Man. Mark will be sorely missed.

I always considered Mark one of the best friends, and very likely the best friend, my son Marc had. Whenever Marc needed help he never had to ask, Mark just always appeared from Boston. I fondly remember the three of us shoveling yards and yards of mulch in Marc's yard the night before a 4th of July party. I quit at 10:00 pm, but Mark was still out there working. He was a rare type of friend!
