Dear Sandra, So sorry to hear of Irene's passing. I knew Irene through the agency which provided at-home care and companionship; I met you one morning while I was substituting for Irene's full-time companion. Irene was a kind and gentle lady who was always polite and always thanking me for helping her. Rest in Peace, Irene.

Our moms had many adventures throughout the years. Every May they would don their best hats for the Kentucky Derby and "bet" on their favorite horse to win! Yesterday my mom was remembering all the tag sales they went to. She said "Irene found a vase for fifty cents! Can you image that!" Your mom made the best cheesecake and often brought some of her baked goodies over. I visited with her in August and found her exercising with her hand bike. She was a very strong lady with a lot of spirit! Thank you for setting up the phone call with your mom. I know it meant a lot to my mom. We will miss her. Sharon and Jeanette (next door neighbor)
