Obituary of Louise Canaveri
Louise J. Canaveri, age 85, of Derby, beloved wife of the late Deacon Louis Canaveri, died peacefully on November 20, 2016 with her family by her side. Born in Peckville, PA on October 13, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen Negvesky Lesnefsky. Mrs. Canaveri was a longtime resident of Derby and worked as a cashier for the former Shop Rite grocery store of Milford for 20 years before becoming a Claims Representative for the All State Insurance Company of Shelton for 10 years, until her retirement in 1996. Mrs. Canaveri was a consummate homemaker, always hosting dinners, entertaining company, cooking and baking with her grandchildren or simply enjoying the quiet peace of her home while holding her husband’s hand. Together with her husband, Deacon Louis, she was instrumental and organized the Pre-Cana Conferences for perspective newlyweds at St. Michael Church. She enjoyed family trips to Disney, shopping trips to NYC and her daily routine of watching her “idol”, Judge Judy tell it like it is. Mrs. Canaveri is survived by her devoted daughters, Linda (Todd) Miller of Derby and Lori (Raymond) Veillette of Derby; cherished grandchildren, Taylor and Jordyn Miller of Derby; Raymond Veillette of Derby, and Sarah Veillette and her husband, John Adams of CA; brother, Frank (Florence) Lesnefsky of PA; sister, Helen Patrylo of NJ; sister-in-law, Dorothy Lesnefsky of IN; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband of 46 years, she was predeceased by brothers, Edward and Leonard Lesnefsky; and a niece, Anne Musnicki. Funeral services will take place on FRIDAY, November 25, 2016, at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Ave., Derby. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Derby.
