Obituary of Kirk William Weldon
Kirk William “Mike” Weldon, age 54 of Seymour, beloved husband of Tina Marie (Andreucci) Weldon, died on June 3, 2017 at Griffin Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends. Born in Derby on July 7, 1962, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Kathleen (Dickinson) Weldon. Mr. Weldon was a 1980 graduate of Ansonia High School and longtime Ansonia and Seymour resident, where he served his community proudly as a Volunteer Firefighter with Seymour Citizens Engine Co. #2, Ansonia Charters Hose Co. #4 and Seymour Fire Police. He worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for the Stratford and Bridgeport offices for 11 years, until the time of his retirement. Following retirement, he worked as a crossing guard for the Town of Seymour for 5 years. In addition to his wife of 27 years, he is survived by his cherished daughter, Brianna Weldon of Seymour; brothers, Kendell (Jody) Weldon of Shelton and Kevin Weldon of Newtown; sisters, Kim (Michael “Spider” ) Morey of Seymour and Kathryn Wermuth of Ansonia; sister-in-law, Deb Andreucci of Shelton; nieces, Shauna (John) Morey LaRovera and Dana (Corey) Weldon O’Brien; nephews, Tim (Mari) Weldon and Gerald (Charo Ferrandis) Morey, Cory Weldon, Kyle (Caitlin) Kelley, Jason Wermuth, James Brown and Jordan Brown; as well as several great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial, MEETING DIRECTLY AT CHURCH, will be Celebrated on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 10:00 AM in the Church of the Assumption, 61 North Cliff Street, Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour.
