Obituary of Marek Gordon

Marek Gordon, age 60, beloved husband of Krystyna Kielbon Gordon of Stratford, died peacefully on December 24, 2017 at the CT Hospice.  Born in Bilgoraj, Poland on August 4, 1957, he was the son of the late Tomasz Krystyna Lipinska Grurzynski.   Mr. Gordon immigrated from Poland in 1996 and first settled in Bridgeport before becoming a longtime resident of Stratford.  He worked as a self-employed carpenter and home improvement contractor owning and operating Gordon Home Improvement, LLC.  Mr. Gordon enjoyed traveling to Canada and Florida, hunting and target shooting at the range, and was an avid photographer.  In addition to his wife of 36 years, Mr. Gordon is survived by his devoted children, Elzbieta (Gregorz) Kielbon of Poland, Marzena (Athanasios) Angelopoulos of Monroe, Ilona Gordon of NY, and Justyna Gordon of Windham; cherished grandchildren, Wiktoria, Oliwia, Adrian, and Krzysztof all of Poland; a sister, Malgorzata (Marian) Leszczynska of Poland; and brother, Jerzy (Bozena) Grurzynski of Poland. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Ave., Derby.  Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Derby.  Wake services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
