Dear Jerry, Mary, Brooke, Benton, and family,
We are so very deeply sorry about Sean's passing. You are never out of our thoughts and prayers. God created Sean to be so special and Sean's very positive influence on others will continue to live on to be a continued example on this earth. There is only One we know who can reach to the core of our hearts and souls to bring us everything we need. We pray God wrap you in His loving arms to comfort your broken hearts and give you strength, endurance, and peace; His peace which surpasses all understanding.
"Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Jeremiah 33:3 KJV
"But Thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory and the lifter of my head. I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and He heard me out of His holy hill." Psalm 3:3-4 KJV
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will seek me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29: 11-13 NKJV
We love you.
Love, Ralph and Mary

Sean, you are legitimately one of the best men I've ever known. You always made it possible to enjoy some of the most unenjoyable tasks. I will never forget him or the memories I have with you. The words you spoke about me, "No, no, no... He didn't get knocked out. He got knocked the ___ out." Is still one of my favorite memories from my time in the Corps. You were always a dedicated friend and someone I knew rely on when I needed someone. I love you man! Until I see you again brother!

Sean,
You were in my first fireteam when I came to third-section , you were a friendly face and someone who always pitched in and didn’t complain. I remember talking to you and you being the first person I ever met from VT. My thoughts are with your family. You are gone too soon but you will be remembered by many for who you were as a person. Kind, funny, easy going, friendly. I hope that your family can find peace and know that they have support and love from a family much bigger then those who share the same family tree.

The marines can be a horrible place, it can be depressing, lonely, and downright miserable. Sean made it possible to be there and not lose hope. He was always upbeat, positive and made everyone around him a better person. Truly the marines made us brothers going through all of that adversity. We would talk about skiing in vermont while drinking peace teas. Chill out by the campfire and tell stories. It didnt matter. I talked to him. A few weeks ago to make some plans and life had other plans. I love you brother and condolences to the family. We truly lost a good man, son, brother, friend. I love you Sean and just happy that i have so many good memories.

When I heard the news of this I hoped that it wasn’t real. Sean, you were a great Marine, a great friend and a great person. I’ll never forget how you’d always apologize for waking up someone for firewatch when we were in Virginia training lol. That just goes to show what kind of person you were and how big of a heart you had. I love ya buddy, and every Marine that had the privilege of spending time with you loves you too. God speed pal.

Dear Family,
I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Sean. It seems so unfair for such a fine person as Sean to leave us so early in his life. He was always one of my favorite students at Helen Keller Middle School. Your memories of Sean and your devoted love will give you comfort to help you thru this terrible tragedy. It was an honor to know him.

To the Linsley family,

Mary, Jerry and Brooke. I never had the opportunity to meet Sean, but I'm sure he was an amazing son and brother. I am praying for comfort, peace and God's strength for you all. This is one of my favorite quotes. “Remember me with smiles and laughter for that's way I'll remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears then don't remember me at all.” Love to all.

Mary, Jerry, and Brooke -
I am so sorry for your loss. I feel lucky that I was able to grow up with Sean, and I will always remember him as a kind and generous person. I have made a donation in his name to the U.S. Marine Corp Toys for Tots program. I think it will be a fitting tribute to a fun-loving and big-hearted man who will be sorely missed.
All my love,
Nicole
