Obituary of Karen L. Giaquinto
Karen Louise Pace Giaquinto, age 76, of Meriden, died peacefully on December 24, 2018 at Mid State Medical Center, Meriden, with her family by her side. Born in New Haven on March 11, 1942, she was the daughter of the late John and Elaine Joyce Adams Pace. Mrs. Giaquinto worked as a health aide in the Southbury Training School before working as an independent home health aide for many years, until the time of her retirement. She loved all things about Christmas and would take great pride in decorating her home in the festive spirit. Mrs. Giaquinto enjoyed cooking & baking, gardening, appreciated many types and styles of music and was a lover of all animals; she even kept a special collection of elephants. Above all, her greatest passion was her family, living her life for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her devoted children, Frank Giaquinto of FL, Elayne Giaquinto of Meriden, Christopher Giaquinto of Meriden, Mariana Giaquinto of Meriden and Philip (Kathy) Giaquinto of Beacon Falls; sisters, Bonnie Esposito of Ansonia and Laurel (George) Milenkevich of Waterbury and a brother, John (Nancy) Pace of Newtown; cherished grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew Giaquinto of Beacon Falls; Frank, Danny and Allison Giaquinto of FL and Angelica Giaquinto of CO; as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 30, 2018 in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. Interment will be private.
