Scuba It's still unreal to think that you're gone. You were the definition of a true friend and always felt like a brother to me. Some of my best memories from growing up include stories with you and your family. I could count on you whenever needed. Seeing your obituary reminded me of something I once heard. On tombstones and in newspapers, the date of a person’s birth and death are always listed with a small dash between. Although these dates do matter, what matters most is the dash. “For that dash represents all the time he spent alive on earth and now only those who loved him know what that little line is worth. For it matters not, how much we own; the cars...the house...the cash. What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash. Of all my friends, you truly lived your life to the fullest in every sense. Your close circle of friends always kept increasing. You were dedicated to all you set out to do. Whether it was academics, athletics, or work, you always put in 110%. You were just as good to your friends as you were to your family. There are many stories that will continue to be shared and never forgotten. I'll never forget rides around in "the submarine," hanging out at your house, all the good times with Mister and the fam, random life update phone calls and the way you referred to yourself in the third person. Thanks for everything Steve. You will be missed but never forgotten. God bless you and your family.

Well Steve, it took me a while to do this, but I'm finally able to. You were the best around, so many memories over the years that I wouldn't even know where to start. You were my best friend and not a day will pass without me thinking of you. I've had the privilege of knowing you for a long time, and there will never be anyone like you again. Words cannot even start to explain what made you so special. God do I miss you. My thoughts and prayers are forever with you and your family. I love you and miss you...Until we meet again...

Steve I don't know where to start...I miss you more and more as the days go bye. I've seen or talked to u everyday for the last 6 years. We've grown from neighbors and teammates to best friends. I've always admired your mental and physical strength, especially how strong you were when your father past away, you knew you had to grow up fast and grew into a great, admirable man. I don't know anyone else that brought more joy and laughter to a party then you, everywhere we went these past two years, even if you didn't know the person you found a way to make people laugh. I will never forget how much you have done for me, especially this year, whenever I needed anything you were always there, or if I needed to talk about something you always were around. I probably will never be able to accept this, as I'm still having a extremely difficult time, but I know you are in a better place to do much better things, and God took the best of us for a reason. I'll never stop missing you, but I ask you to watch over your mom, Zak, and your family. And ill never forget you..you were my neighbor, teammate, classmate, co-worker, best friend and brother and i love you man and ill keep you with me till i see you again

Catherine, Betty & Family, I was so saddened to hear about your wonderful son Stephen. I watched him grow into a fine young man through the years. The Lord wanted/needed him more and he will be joined with his Dad and Grandpa - what a threesome! Unfortunately I was away this past weekend and just returned but wanted to give my heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I will keep Stephen and all of you in my prayers.

I will remember him as the boy that was always smiling and making others smile. He enjoyed every day to the fullest and didn't hold back. If Steve Zuraw was there it was guaranteed going to be a good time. He always wanted to be a part of what was going on and somehow made sure he was. He was so dedicated to working, going to the gym, and being with his friends especially his Thursday and Friday nights. He was like a big brother to so many and such a good influence to so many others. He was the most genuine and sincere person that I had ever met. A phenominal listener. Loved his mother and Zak more than anything. A great friend, companion, and son now a beautiful angel to watch over everyone

Steve..words can not explain the life and legacy you left behind. You touched so many people with your kind heart and soul. You are such a good guy, a great friend to all. The great times we had were endless and truly unforgettable and they will stay with me forever. I know you are in a better place now, looking down on us while you jam out with Jim Morrison and Jimmy Hendrix. Make sure you take good care of your Mother and Taylor now because they need you now more than ever. I'm sorry I will not be able to make the services to see you one last time but I know that you understand. You are a great friend and I hope I encounter more like you in my lifetime. May the wind always be at your back, and the sun always upon your face, and the wings of destiny to carry you aloft to dance with the stars. And we look to that fine day when we will see you again, all weariness gone, clear of mind, strong and sure, and smiling again, and the sorrow of our parting gone forever. You will be surely missed Steve.

Stevie, I miss you so much. You were such a great cousin. All of the holidays we would spend together; Thanksgiving, Christmas, July 4th, will never be the same. As we saw each other over the years you grew more and more as an inspiration to me with your accomplishments, hard work, and love of your family and friends. I know that you are at peace with your dad. I will miss canoeing out to the islands at Grandma's, watching your annual fireworks display, and watching football at Thanksgiving. Most of all I will miss those times when our family would sit all together and we would talk and share how things were going in our lives. You made your life special, Steve, and you brightened all of our lives too. You still will whenever we think of you. Love, Mike
